Mesa Grande roofing.

Central Mesa — mid-century ranch homes with a mix of shingle, tile, and older built-up roof systems.

Mesa Grande is a central-Mesa ranch neighborhood

Mesa Grande's housing stock is mostly mid-century — 1950s through 1970s ranch homes — with the roofing variety that comes with that era. We see original shingle roofs that have been replaced two or three times, concrete tile from the retrofit era, and older built-up (tar-and-gravel) roofs still in service on some flat-roof sections.

Practical Mesa Grande roofing notes

  • If your shingle roof is original or mid-life, a full tear-off with architectural shingles and synthetic underlayment is the typical scope.
  • If your tile was retrofit onto an older home, the structural capacity has already been proven. A reinstallation with new underlayment is the common scope.
  • If you have a flat-roof addition or carport, a foam recoat or modified bitumen install is usually the right answer — and usually much cheaper than replacing the whole roof system.

The older the home, the more we rely on what we find in the first tear-off. We'll quote honestly, document everything, and keep you informed if what we find changes the scope.
